District Disaster Management Authority Chairperson and District Collector Mrinmayi Joshi has issued guidelines for organizing religious festivals in the district as part of preventive measures in the Covid19 Third Wave situation.


1. All religious festivals can be attended by a maximum of 1500 people per 25 square feet, depending on the area of ​​the public space.


2. Covid19 safety standards such as social distance, wearing a mask and sanitizing must be strictly adhered to.


3. RTPR negative certificate taken within 72 hours or within the last three months Anyone over the age of 18 with a Covid19 positive record can attend the festival. Children under 18 years of age with no symptoms may attend with family members.


4. The concerned Station House Officers and Local Self Government Institutions Secretaries should ensure that Covid19 standards are strictly adhered to in religious festivals organized on the basis of guidelines.


5. Approval of the Order Subject to the directions and directions issued by the Government from time to time.


6. The District Collector informed that legal action will be taken against the organizers violating the instructions under the Disaster Management Act 2005 and the Kerala Infectious Diseases Act 2020.
